If you live in the neighbourhood and have children, I am sure you have noticed the sorry state of the playground at 28th ave and Prince Edward. Everyone in the area who uses and misses that playground are trying to find creative ways to raise funds to build a new one and playgrounds are not cheap!
This year we thought it would be fun to combine one of our favourite times of the year with some fundraising for this playground.
We have organized a quirky evening of both educational presentations and good old Halloween creepiness (and some mauled wine!) From 5-6:30pm the folks from Vancouver Urban Safari Rescue Society will be bringing a Boa Constrictor, Tarantulas, lizards and scorpions for the kids to get a close look at. You can read more about them and their society HERE
The rest of the evening will be dedicated to other activities like 'ask the dead professor', Family photo area, Palm Reading under the palm tree and of course candy!
Please remember this is a fundraiser and ALL money raised goes straight to the playground so bring cash as it is all by donation. (donations over 20$ are considered tax deductible and a receipt can be provided) To keep up on Playground developments or find out how you can help, click HERE
Happy Halloween Everyone!
