My little mama has reinvented herself yet again.
A little over 5 years ago she decided that the darkness and the rain of Vancouver was too much for her. She put her condo for sale, packed her things (mostly her favorite magazine tear outs) and set off to Mexico.
Not speaking the language or knowing many people she built an amazing house that personified one chapter of her life. Built on a plot of hillside desert on the outskirts of a small town, she drew pictures in the sand and used her tear outs to communicate with her Spanish speaking contractor the house she wanted build.
She has an unusual ability to fearlessly recreate herself when she feels it's necessary. Moving around through the world while creating spaces for herself that are absolutely her own.
Here are some photo's of her newest venture in San Miguel de Allende. If you ever find yourself there (and we highly recommend it) pay a visit to her new Gallery space opened with her friend and fellow painter Leah Porter.
